National Employee Benefits Day was created in 2004 by the International Foundation of Employee Benefits Plans (IFEBP) to honor the benefit administrators, insurers, trustees and professional advisors who dedicate their work to providing quality benefits and playing an important role in the wellbeing of colleagues and their families. The day is celebrated annually, and this year takes place on Tuesday, April 6, 2021.
The COVID-19 pandemic created a global “moment that matters” for everyone and has impacted every aspect of our total wellbeing. One of the essential elements that emerged from all the challenges in 2020 is the necessity to foster ready and resilient employees in 2021. And going along with the IFEBP’s 2021 focus on mental health at work, we’ve created a Mental Health & Resiliency resource page to help benefit professionals do what they do best – protect employees so they feel safe, informed and confident moving forward.
2021 is a pivotal year for HR & benefits professionals, and as we celebrate National Employee Benefits Day, we encourage you to step back to assess the big picture and take advantage of the opportunity to evaluate your benefits engagement strategy.
